There is a new European Breeding Bird Atlas underway.
There are some "gaps" in the Highland recording area where levels of recording are below 50% of the expected species. There are currently two areas around Ullapool and near Oban, see maps below.
Just add data for these areas through Birdtrack and this will automatically go towards the atlas, try to record the highest levels of breeding evidence possible.
- EBBA2 will cover 5 years of fieldwork in more than 50 European countries, including European part of Russia, Caucasus and Turkey, between 2013 and 2017
